Some news on the upcoming film!
Back in early January, casting was under way in Wilmington for the James Wan film “The Conjuring.” According to the local StarNewsOnline, sets including a house were being built on a sound stage at Wilmington’s EUE/Screen Gems Studios.
The New Line Cinema film is a thriller to be released in 2013, reportedly surrounding the life story of Ed and Lorraine Warren, 1950s paranormal investigators involved with the real-life Amityville investigation that inspired the movie “The Amityville Horror.” Although the setting is New England, the North Carolina Film Office indicates that shooting is currently (March 2012) taking place in the Wilmington region.
Vera Farmiga (“The Departed,” “Up in the Air“) and Patrick Wilson (“Insidious,” “A Gifted Man“) are reportedly playing the Warrens in what IMDb calls “The Warren Files” but is elsewhere listed as “The Conjuring.” The film will also feature Ron Livingston (“Sex and the City“), Lili Taylor (“Six Feet Under“) and Mackenzie Foy (“The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn“).

Just thanks, I guess…for everything you’ve done. Your directorial debut for Higher Ground was so embraceable. Please give my best to your sister, a beautiful, understated performance. As was your direction.
Apr 14, 12 at 5:59 amBoy in the Striped Pajamas….tense, scary and ultimately completely convincing. The Departed…..one of my top 20 films. Not for all the outstanding male performances but as the ONLY female in the film, kudos.
I’m clearly a cinema nut. Up In the Air. What woman doesn’t want to look at George Clooney but for me, the film was you. You really had me fooled, was envying you, for awhile.
Keep working, please.
Thanks,
Laura
