A new project for Vera, very exciting!

Andy Garcia and Vera Farmiga are set to star in the romantic comedy “Admissions,” an indie pic that Garcia will also produce through his CineSon Prods. shingle.

Adam Rodgers will direct from a script he co-wrote with Glenn German, who will also produce alongside Sig Libowitz under his Look at the Moon Prods. banner. Ellen Wander of Film Bridge Intl. will exec produce along with Sonya Lunsford (“The Help“). Paradigm’s pic financing group arranged the financing and will be selling domestic distribution rights. Wander and Film Bridge will handle international distribution.

Admissions” follows a once-in-a-lifetime relationship that develops between two strangers over the course of a single day. Farmiga will play a free-spirited mom taking her daughter Audrey on a walking tour of a small college. Garcia will play a buttoned-up heart surgeon who’s taking his son on the same tour.

Farmiga, who recently appeared in “Safe House,” just wrapped James Wan’s New Line pic “The Warren Files.”

Garcia, who recently toplined and produced the indie hit “City Island,” next stars in “For Greater Glory” and “The Truth.”

Libowitz, who wrote and produced Rodgers’ live-action short film “The Response,” was the exec in charge of production on 2001′s “In the Bedroom.” He has served as a production exec at Paramount Classics, Film Four and Good Machine.

Paradigm reps Garcia, while Farmiga is repped by CAA, Authentic Talent and Literary Management and Peikoff Mahan.

Rodgers and German are repped by the Bohrman Agency and attorney Mark S. Temple.
